Alexander (Lex) Bell OAM - Consultant

Lex Bell, son of the firm's founder, was admitted as a Solicitor in February 1968 after studies through University of Queensland. Later, post graduate studies at Bond University led to the degree of Master of Laws with Distinction.

Post Honorary Community Service included: Founding Chairman of three private schools, Chairman of Gold Coast Lifeline (Counseller for 15 years) Chairman of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation (6 years), National Chancellor of his Church (12 years).

Presently Vice Chairman of Radio 4CRB since foundation, President of Alliance Francaise on the Gold Coast (9 years), Knight of the Order of St John of Jeruselem (Knights of Malta, 12 years) and official representation on the Gold Coast of Noumea City Council.

Awards include Melvin Jones Fellowship (Lions), Paul Harris Fellowship (Rotary), Honorary Canon of his Church and Medal of the Order of Australia.

Lex was for 16 years a Councillor of Gold Coast City Council, 6 of them as Mayor and was State Member of Parliament for three years to February 2004.
